Yup, my bags are packed and I’m ready to go! Not a day to spare. I’ll be the last dog getting to America with Golden Rescue. Let me tell you about me. As you can see, I’m a natural blonde….almost white. I’m around two years old. I’m quite petite and very, very sweet. I’m fine with other dogs. The Rescue says that every dog that has come from Turkey has been fine with kids. So, they’re thinking…I will be too. Life has not been easy in Turkey. But, I KNOW it will be when I find my loving forever home in Florida. I can’t wait! If you’re ready to open your doors and your heart to me. Please contact Lisa at: rjlph@outlook.com. Tell her if you’ve had your home visit and when. If not tell her EVERYTHING about you, your home, yard, address, Family, pets and most important your daily schedule. Without all that information she won’t know if we’re a match and you won’t hear from her. You must live in Florida, but just for me, the Rescue is opening their area…a little…..Just in case the perfect Family lives a little further away.

WOW, my name is Dino and I’m getting my freedom flight out of Turkey, just before no more international dogs can ESCAPE to the States.  Because this happened so quickly, I have nowhere to go when I get to Florida. The Rescue says “not to worry” --some wonderful Family will want a sweet, gentle, friendly 3 year old neutered male. I hope they’re correct! I’m fine with other dogs. As you can tell from pictures. I’m not a really big guy. And, if I do say so myself….I’m ADORABLE! Just an FYI. The Rescue is sparing no expense to get me here. Not only have they paid for my flight…but they’re paying a fortune to get me driven here from Newark airport where I land.

So now, can I come to your house and your Family to live safe and loved forever? If the rescue doesn’t find the perfect forever home…I will need a foster until they do. So, if you’re interested in adopting or fostering (maybe to adopt). Please reach out to Denise at: deniselibby@ymail.com. Tell her if you’ve had your home visit and when. If not tell her EVERYTHING about you…your home, address, yard, family, pets and most important your daily schedule. Remember our adoption area is SE Florida from Cocoa Beach to The Keys. Without that information she won’t know if we’re a match and you won’t hear from her.

Thunder, lightening, traffic, computer glitches in customs, hurry up and then WAIT…yup, just another “international rescue arrival”. But once those crates came wheeling out at the International Arrival gate cheers and joy! It was worth every second! Rodi, Millie, Eddie and the “twins”, Sasha and Pasha were welcomed with open arms by their excited new adopters. After a 12 hour flight and a three hour wait in customs. Out they came…tails wagging greeting their new family members like they were old friends. Five more dogs saved! We’re going to follow up and post these new arrivals. More to come!!!

SOS!

As if things weren’t difficult enough for these poor “international Goldens”. Now the CDC in the U.S. is placing a ban on bringing these dogs to safety here. The tragedy is…it has nothing to do with rescues. Unscrupulous breeders falsified records, stating their dogs were vaccinated and they weren’t. But now, dogs who desperately need  saving won’t be. The ban doesn’t take effect until July 14. So rescuers are doing everything they can to get more dogs out before then. Our rescue partner in Turkey needs our help!  And we want to help. We’re trying to bring more dogs over before the ban takes place. As many as we can possibly manage. We are seeking adopters, fosters and OF COURSE, DONATIONS. Time is running out for these innocent Angels. If you’re interested in fostering or adopting please contact Denise at:

deniselibby@ymail.com

If you can help us help them with a donation please go to:

Update:  As previously mentioned…the clock is ticking to save dogs. We are moving forward, continuing to reach out for potential adopters and doing home visits. Both in person and virtually. We are desperately trying to get dogs brought to the States. But, in the meantime we are building a list of approved potential adopters. In the hopes we will need them. So please, reach out if you’re interested (we are expanding our adoption area to most of Florida) for the International dogs AND  if you can donate….EVERY PENNY GOES TO RESCUING DOGS! Paws crossed we can save many more.

As we all know, The Rescue has been consumed with bringing Goldens from Asia. We hope to be able to continue that in the Fall. But, in the meantime, for those of us who love this gentle loving breed, there are dogs elsewhere that are in desperate need of saving. Of course, first on our list are Golden and “almost” Goldens here, at home. They have been and always will be, our first priority. But the terrifying conditions for Goldens in Turkey cannot be underestimated and certainly shouldn’t be ignored.

So, we have been asked to help! And those of you who know us know we will. But, once again…WE NEED HELP! We are bringing in 5 dogs. One is already spoken for. As soon as we get more information and pictures, we will post the rest.  BUT, a heads up. Two males are 6 month old brothers and OMG they are beyond adorable as  they are half Cocker Spaniel and half Golden. So they’ll be smaller in stature. They do not need to be adopted together. Each one deserves a super special home! There is one female. She’s around 4 And one big handsome male. Somehow he lost one eye. But it doesn’t bother him ONE BIT and he loves cats! He’s also around 4.

But here’s THE MIRACLE of Goldens. Their temperaments are the same from WHEREVER they come! Years ago, we brought three Goldens in from Turkey. All were gentle, sweet souls. The dogs from Asia…it’s the same. They are Goldens inside and out. Loving, fun, gentle, kind. Because they’re Goldens, we can rescue them from anywhere and everywhere and they’re AMAZING! And, they deserve to be saved.

Take a look at our Golden Family FB group. See the amazing transformations of Asian shelter dogs to loving, happy, and safe Goldens. It will be no different with the Goldens from Turkey.  Please be a part of this mission. First and most important we want to find four amazing adopters.  If that’s YOU …please contact Denise at: deniselibby@ymail.com

The donation for adopting these dogs is $1500.  This won’t cover our costs. But we’ll figure that out. Because that’s “what we do”.
And almost as important, we sure could use financial help getting them here. Any donation will surely make a difference.

Our first group of Turkey Goldens arrive June 29th.    They are known as Turkey’s Forgotten Dogs.  Sadly, it is estimated that there are upwards of 150,000 homeless dogs in Turkey and thousands of these orphaned dogs are Golden Retrievers. These gentle dogs are found in the forests, on the shores of the Black Sea, hiding under cars, under shrubs, begging outside of restaurants, wandering around garbage dumps foraging for food and hiding wherever they can from the feral dog packs that prey on their gentle nature.

There is little hope for these dogs – or any dog in Turkey. There is no adoption there, so without help from a rescue group they will live out their life roaming the streets or forest.    FORGOTTEN NO MORE, GRSF is here, but we need your help, please donate!

Hey, I’m coming to America too! I’m coming with my brother Sasha. We’re both ADORABLE. We’re both going to be small in stature. I personally think I’m even cuter than Sasha. But no matter…we’re both awesome, happy and loving six month old males. Pups like us are hard to find if you’re looking for a Golden that won’t get too big! Please reach out to Denise at: deniselibby@ymail.com. I’ll give you great big kisses at the airport!!!

I am soooo ready to come to America to be in my new forever home. I am your typical sweet Golden girl. Life has not been easy , but it hasn’t changed who I am. I live with other dogs . . . lots of them!⠀So, that should not be a problem. I’m a Golden after all. It doesn’t matter where I come from. I’ll be amazing. Please say you will rescue me.!!!
