Reunion 2012

The reunion held last week was a great success with beautiful weather and lots of beautiful goldens and their families!

A huge "thank you" to every one who attended the reunion and to all our wonderful donors (see below) who supplied the raffle prizes !!
It was all "potential" until our adopters and dogs arrived. Every one and every dog added something wonderful to the "mix". Yes, we all worked hard and I am glad it "showed" but without our supporters...there would be little we could do to help the other dogs, still awaiting rescue!. We will have the figures for the Reunion later today.
But for now let me tell you...".WE DID GOOD!!!!"

Above is Lisa, and Dee who won the Dave Petrie award.

At the Reunion, the Dave Petrie Award (named after Carol's late husband) was awarded to Delanne Hamilton Gillespie (aka Dee) for her outstanding work and contributions to GRSF. She's one of those behind the scenes people who you probably don't hear about as much, but she's an integral part of GRSF. She enters all of the Rescue's bills, adoption info etc in the computer. She designed and sent out the invitations for the Reunion. She emails companies and is responsible for most of the Silent Auction items. She put together the raffle baskets (with some help from her elves). She fosters puppies.... and basically does just about anything the GRSF asks (and on top of that, she has a full-time job!). Her son Jake has also been a huge help to the GRSF.
The GRSF has recognized Dee's huge contribution with this year's Dave Petrie Award. Thank-you Dee from ALL of us!
